One Year Anniversary October 23

In case you are not savvy with bed “brands” allow us to introduce you to Harrison Spinks. You may recall watching a TV programme with Gregg Wallace called “Inside The factory”. One of the episodes visited the Harrison Spinks Mattress factory based in the North of Yorkshire. Filming was not just inside their factory but also on their 300-acre farm where they breed hundreds of sheep for wool, grow their own hemp & flax for mattress flocking along with wood, FSC certified, grown in their 56 acres of woodland, for bed bases & frames

When Newport beds began, over a decade ago the luxury British Bed brand Harrison Spinks were one of the first beds on the showroom floor. Back then the Bed shop was part of the founding business Carpet Loom’s showroom, whereby a small selection of beds were on display. Today we have our new showroom with 29 beds, just next door but one from the initial retail starting place & we are very pleased to welcome back Harrison Spinks Beds to the showroom floor. They have been family bed makers for over 180 years with some of the original family still at the heart of the company, albeit they are 5^th generation. Being a family run business ourselves, it’s one of the things we like the most about them

October 23 is  the 1-year anniversary in our new showroom at Unit 1 Springfield Industrial Estate in Newport this month. We moved away from the Retail High Street in September 2022, into a more purposeful building with our own parking, a larger floor space & storage area so we could hold more stock & to be closer to our owners & partner business, Carpet Loom. By doing so we have evolved from being a Bed Shop on the High Street to a credible Destination Bed Store, whilst keeping Newport on the map as a place where people can ‘shop local’ from a locally run family business. We think that’s a win-win for everyone! 

We are so thrilled to say this…...It's been a fabulous year! We have settled in well to our new premises & have welcomed both new & old customers who return over & over again from Newport & the surrounding areas, to trust us with their bed purchases. This the most as that says we are doing something right & as a team would like to say to the People of Newport & surrounding areas who have bought from us & of course those who are yet to buy from us, A HUGE THANKYOU! It means a lot to us that people continue to shop with Newport Beds as it allows us to keep doing what we love & that’s caring for ‘Your Sleep Matters’.

As a little celebration throughout October & November, we are offering a 20% discount on all pillows & bedding.  As we are heading into Winter with a season switch, many of us may well be switching our duvets to warmers ones. It’s good to look at replacing pillows at this time too so we have included these in the offer also. We have plenty of 10.5 tog duvets in the showroom, in all sizes. Tell us if you’d like warmer ones & we can get those in too

Throughout October & November, we have also teamed up with Soul Candles of Shropshire by adding a Bedroom Mist Spray to every PILLOW purchase. We are gifting a free Relax Spray made by the Newport based business, for our showroom anniversary & to celebrate locally run businesses in Newport too!
